It is my turn on the blog tour for Our Darkest Hour by Gabriella E. Mari!
Today I have a spotlight, but everything I know about the book so far means it is likely that I will be picking it up very soon. The reviews so far from my fellow readers are overwhelmingly positive and the blurb is super intriguing, so it looks a great read!

Talking of the banner, it shows off the book’s cover in all its glory. I love it – from the clear image of the hourglass to the red ribbon entangling it, the whole image is beautiful and very refined.
As for the story itself, the synopsis has really made me want to know more. It seems to incorporate some traditional young adult ghost story tropes with some very modern concepts, such as a group of paranormal investigators famous for their sizeable YouTube following.
The thing that interests me the most though, is how the main character Adrian responds to developing psychic powers by accident and where they end up taking him once he starts to gain online notoriety. There is plenty of romance and LGBTQIA+ representation too!

Born in Illinois, Gabriella E. Mari originally wanted to become a storm chaser before settling on writing. Coming up with stories since the age of 10, she first cut her teeth on fanfiction, gaining quite a following for her unique takes and overall ability to create believable characters and scenarios.
She studied Creative Writing at university and earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree. She works on exclusively original content these days. As a bi author, her main genres are a mix of gay (male) romance, fantasy, and reality, presented with a good dose of wit and layered (and sometimes darker-than-expected) plot lines.
