Hello everyone,
A whole year ago, I was tagged for this gorgeous festive book tag by Sofii. She is one of the loveliest people around and has a fantastic blog that I would recommend to anyone.
It seems like the perfect time of year to answer all of these Christmas-themed questions and I’m excited to get started, so let’s get straight to it.
🎄 “All I Want For Christmas Is You…” | What book do you want to see under the Christmas Tree? 🎄
I have a few books in mind for Christmas, out of the ones that I have not gone ahead and bought for myself already! The one I would like to receive the most is perhaps The Betrayals by Bridget Collins. I really enjoyed her previous book The Binding, and by all accounts this is a wonderful read too.
🎄 “Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time…” | What book that you have read this year have you enjoyed the most? 🎄

I am going to post a list of my favourite books I read in 2020 before the year is out, but at the moment these are my undisputed top three!
🎄 “It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas…” | Which book has most festive look to it? 🎄
I don’t read Christmas themed books, so instead I shall talk about the books that remind me most of this time of year. And that has to be the Winternight Trilogy; everything about them speaks winter and it is such an imaginative and atmospheric series. The cover of The Bear And The Nightingale does at least look festive!
🎄 Elf | What book unleashes your inner child? 🎄
It has to be Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland. I find it such a cheerful and delightful thing to read, with no shortage of witticisms.
🎄 The Grinch | Your favourite villain… 🎄
Villains are fascinating to read and understand, but I would not say I have a particular favourite as far as books are concerned. My favourite villain in anything is probably The Master/Missy from Doctor Who.
🎄 The Holiday | Name your favourite TWO couples… 🎄
I’m not massively into romance and I haven’t read that many series containing romance either. This year I read the Shadow and Bone trilogy, but I would be lying if I felt Alina and Mal belonged together! 🙂
🎄 What book would you like to give as a present to your followers? 🎄
This is such a lovely question! I am so grateful to all of my followers so would love to gift them numerous books, but if I had to choose one I would go for With The Fire On High as it is a powerful yet greatly uplifting book which I loved along with so many others.

Haha I know 😂 The thing is I was tagged on Christmas Day last year and I had no time to do it then, and it’s the kind of tag you can only do in December! 🙈 I’m glad you enjoyed and I hope you love the Winternight trilogy. It’s brilliant! 😊

Most people who talk about the Shadow and Bone trilogy say they didn’t like Alina and Mal together but I actually really liked them together.

Lovely answers, Stephen! Well, WTFOH had a bit of romance in it and I can’t lie and say that I wasn’t rooting for Emoni and Malachi! 😂 I absolutely loved Where the Crawdads Sing when I read it last year and it was one of my top reads of 2019! Such a beautifully written story 🥰 Think I might have a go at answering this one!
