Questions
What is your next read?
As I type, I am pretty sure that my next read will be The Whisper Man by Alex North. That has been on my TBR for too long and I have kept saying that I need to read it, so it is about time I did!
What do you think will be your next 5-star read?
There is perhaps a reasonable chance that I might give The Whisper Man 5 stars, but then again I am quite particular when it comes to thrillers. So in that case, I would say Mexican Gothic. It has all the makings of a book I should love.
What do you think will be your next 1-star read?
This is a difficult question for to answer as I very rarely give a book a one-star rating, nor do I decide to read a book and expect to hate it. One thing I can say for sure is that my next one-star read will be a book that I find boring or one that contains fundamental flaws.
Who will be your next love interest (or character that seems really cool to you)?
I shall be reading Six Of Crows fairly soon and I have heard all kinds of things about Kaz Brekker, across social media and other book blogs. I would feel slightly let down if I did not find him cool!
What will be the next book you’ll be buying?
There are a few books being released soon that I shall definitely be buying. The Confession by Jessie Burton is *finally* coming out in paperback, so that will be an instant purchase. I also own every book by Shari Lapena, so will be getting her new thriller The End Of Her.
What will be the next book that will leave you with a complete book hangover (and desperately wanting a reread or the next book in the series)?
I think that could be The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow. I simply cannot wait until that one is released, and her first book The Ten Thousand Doors Of January is right at the very top of the list of books I would like to reread at some point.

This is such a fun tag! The next book that’ll give me a bad hangover will definitely be Battle Ground by Jim Butcher, it is gonna be painful and gonna hurt me badly and I know the ending will make me cry for days after

i love kaz so much!! he’s not a good person at all and his edginess is honestly a little funny when you think about it, but his intelligence and ruthlessness are so admirable 🥺 i guess you could call him my problematic fave

Thank you so much for the tag, Stephen! The questions are so interesting, and so timely! I can’t wait to see what my answers will be when we finally have time to do another tag!
The one I know I’ll struggle with no matter when I figure out my answers is the 1 star book question. It’s so rare for me to give a book one star, that I don’t even have a good idea of what kind of flaws a book needs to have to get a single star from me!

You’re welcome, Malka! I’m really looking forward to your answers, though of course there’s no rush for you to do the tag!
I very rarely give one star ratings either. It was a tricky question to answer, so I just said that I don’t pick up a book if I expect to really not like it!
