Five Books On My TBR – May 2020

Hello everyone,

It is time to take another look at my TBR and see which books I have recently added. One of my current aims is to reduce the volume of books on the list, which we all know is much easier said than done! My progress so far has been mixed at best.

Here are five more books which I am hoping to read in the coming weeks and months. I might get to some quicker than others…

Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo

This one was released just last week and I have wasted no time at all in getting myself a copy! I have loved Elizabeth Acevedo’s two previous books, so this shall certainly be a priority read for me.

Magpie Lane by Lucy Atkins

Lucy Atkins is a fantastic author, writing thrillers that are often different from the usual formula. Her plots are unique and innovative, and after reading glowing reviews for this, her latest book, I am hotly anticipating this one.
The Mercies by Kiran Millwood Hargrave

The concept of witches and a Scandinavian setting have seen me gravitate towards this book. I love the cover, and everything else about it suggests that it will be a terrific read.

The Closer You Get by Mary Torjussen

Everything I heard about this thriller makes it seem totally gripping! It is apparently tense and full of twists, and Jennifer’s review had me convinced that it was a must-read.

The Lost Child by Emily Gunnis

I have wanted to read one of Emily Gunnis’ books for some time, but have never got round to it. I have only heard positive things about The Lost Child, which is her latest book, so I may make that a priority!

Have you read any of these books? If you have, what did you think? Let me know in the comments!

Happy reading 🙂

  2. I hope you enjoy all of these books, Stephen!! I’m so excited for Clap When You Land too, because I’ve heard such good things about it and Elizabeth Acevedo’s books in general! (Ugh, I’m the worst for still not having read With the Fire On High…)
