Questions from Pauliina
l. Who is your absolute favourite book character?
Hermione Granger would be my obvious choice, although Vasya from the Winternight Trilogy runs her very close!
2. What is your favourite fruit?
I like all different kinds of fruit, but my favourite would have to be strawberries.
3. You just walked into a lovely coffee shop, what is your order?
It is usually a large cup of tea, with a muffin or a pastry. I sometimes decide on a hot chocolate, but never coffee. I can’t stand coffee!
4. Which house-chore do you despise and which one is your favourite?
Great question! My favourite one is tidying my room – I am organised person and I don’t like mess. Also it’s quite therapeutic.
As for the one I despise, that would be ironing. I don’t do much of that at the moment as I live with my parents, but I will soon be moving and so will have to do it more. It’s so time-consuming!
5. Book shopping in store or online?
I always enjoy visiting book stores and I do so very frequently. If I see a book I really want, or just feel drawn to at a precise moment, I can hardly resist buying it.
I prefer buying in store, but I also do a lot of my shopping online because it is sometimes convenient and saves time. Also good for pre-ordering books.
6. What is your Hogwarts house?
I am very pleased to be a Ravenclaw! Although I do think I also have several Hufflepuff traits…
7. Who is your favourite author?
Due to my love of Harry Potter, and her crime novels, it has got to be J.K. Rowling.
8. What would your dream holiday be like?
Lots of adventuring and visiting landmarks or interesting places. I don’t mind where! Also a little bit of reading, relaxing, and nice food π
9. What is the worst book you have ever read, and why?
In 2018 I read a book called Beneath The Skin by Caroline England. It was marketed as a thriller, but has to be one of the dullest and least engaging books I have ever read. I ended up skim reading large parts of it.
10. What is your favourite book cover and why?
The cover of The Familiars is so beautiful, I could hardly draw my eyes away from it when I first bought it!
11. Which book would you like to have a movie/series adaptation of?
I recently read The Huntress, and most of the way through I was thinking how well it would work as a television or film adaptation. I would certainly watch it!
Facts About Me
- As mentioned earlier, I am moving soon to my own flat. I have never moved house before, amazingly!
- Since last summer I have been learning the piano. I have been teaching myself using a useful mobile phone app, and have made good progress. I don’t practice as often as I would like too, though!
- My favourite band are The Killers, and I am going to see them perform live for the first time in June. I can’t wait!
- In 2019 I climbed to the top of Mount Snowdon in Wales. There is a cafe at the top, and on the way down it began to snow! It was a great day, and I did so much walking.
- My favourite food is pasta. Give me anything with pasta, and I will devour it!

Thank you! The Familiars is a great read – the ending didn’t totally do it for me, but otherwise I loved it.

Awesome answers (though I am biased because I love Harry Potter and so had to love your HP related answers!! ) Hermione is a brilliant character choice + though I am a Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw is an awesome house to be in!
The Famiiars looks like such a beautiful read! I want to try and get a copy of it and the Foundling. They are both so beautiful and sound like brilliant reads! ππ
Congrats on the nomination/the new flat! Great answers!

Some Hufflepuff traits combined with being a Ravenclaw has got to be one of the best combinations ππ
Ooh, I am glad to hear it! I will definitely have to try and borrow a copy of The Familiars from my library, I am also hoping to snag a copy of The Foundling asap! Cannot wait to see what I think of them, I am glad The Familiars was an excellent read- makes me all the more excited for it! ππ
