Best Blogging Friends Of 2019 – Part One

Hello everyone,

It is little secret that I absolutely love the book blogging community. When I began my blog I would never have anticipated making so many wonderful friends, and I am forever grateful to all of you here and on Twitter.

Making friends and connecting with others has perhaps become my favourite thing about being a book blogger, and I feel truly lucky to be a part of it. Every nice comment I receive feels extra special, while I have been lucky to arrange or take part in buddy reads with other bloggers, too.

There are so many I could mention here as the list of people I have interacted with is extremely long, so I have decided to feature 18 of my very best bookish friends over my next two posts and gush about how brilliant they are!

Here are the first nine, in alphabetical order:

Amy @ Bookish Heights

In my humble opinion, there is no one better than Amy at raising awareness of, and promoting diversity in books. She always seems to provide a great list of recommendations, a number of which I hope to read in the future.

Added to that, Amy is just an all-round lovely person, and I think she is very inspiring. All of her posts are wonderful, written with a lot of personality.

Caitlin @ Caitlin Althea

Caitlin has only been blogging for a matter of months, but she writes so brilliantly that you would be forgiven for thinking she’s been doing it for years! I’m clearly not the only one who thinks that either, as she was a joint winner of this year’s ‘best new book blogger’ award.

I love reading her interesting and thought-provoking discussion posts, which are presented in a very interactive way. But the best thing for me is that Caitlin has become a good bookish friend and I always enjoy our discussions.

Chloé @ Reviews by Chloé

I always enjoy reading Chloé’s reviews. They are always very thoughtful, and her enthusiasm for each book she reads is very clear to see from her writing.

Her reviews have introduced me to a few great books in the mystery/thriller genre, and on top of that, she is very kind and supportive.

Darina @ Facing The Story

Darina is one of my absolute favourite book bloggers. I have become an avid reader of her posts, which are a mixture of detailed reviews and interesting discussions. Each review always contain the perfect mix of her personal thoughts on the book as well as an analysis of its plot and themes, which I really like.

We have a very similar taste in books, so whenever Darina loves one that I haven’t read, it usually goes straight on my TBR! I always look forward to reading her posts.

Emily @ Literary Edits

When I first read one of Emily’s blog posts, I was transfixed. I was in awe of her writing back then, and I am still in awe of it now! She is another hugely inspiring – and wonderful – bookish friend.

Having read her posts, it was no surprise to me that she graduated from university this year with a First in English Literature, but that is only part of what seems like a brilliant 2019 for Emily, as she founded Literary Edits, an editing and proofreading service, which her blog now accompanies.

Jee @ Hooked On Bookz

Jee is the absolute kindest! Every time she leaves a comment on one of my posts it just makes me smile, as she is always very supportive.

Her own reviews are fantastic, too. I like the range of books she discusses on her blog, and her thoughts on each one are always extremely interesting to read.

Kelly @ From Belgium With Book Love

I am really grateful to be friends with Kelly. She is totally supportive to authors and fellow bloggers alike, and without her there are several amazing books that I simply wouldn’t have read or maybe even discovered.

Her blog is magnificent, with book reviews that entertain and captivate in equal measure. Each post is a joy to read!

Kriti @ Armed With A Book

I recently took part in a Q&A with Kriti for her blog, which was great fun. I enjoyed sharing our reading habits and preferences, along with our thoughts on books.

Kriti is very articulate, and her blog posts reflect that. They are all rich in detail and analysis, which make for a great read.

Lauren @ LauReads

Lauren and I have interacted a lot in 2019 and I love how she comes up with lots of different post ideas, particularly lists. Her reviews are very genuine and concise, but most of all Lauren is a caring person and I like our regular discussions we have on our blogs.
