The Sunshine Blogger Award #4

Hello everyone,

It may be December and the temperature very cold, but it is time to put that aside briefly for the Sunshine Blogger Award! Thank you very much to Shaz for tagging me. She is one of the nicest book bloggers I know, so do give her a follow if you haven’t already.

What is The Sunshine Blogger Award?

The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to bloggers who are creative, positive, and inspiring. Once nominated, the blogger is required to write a post in which they:

• Thank the blogger who nominated them and link back to their blog.

• Answer the 11 questions asked by the blogger who nominated them.

• Nominate 11 other blogs and give them 11 new questions to answer.

• Notify your nominees and display the Sunshine Blogger Award in your post.

Shaz’s questions:

  1. If you could choose one book to live in forever, which would it be?

I would have to agree with Shaz on this one! As predictable as this answer may be, who would turn down the chance to live in the Harry Potter world?
  2. If you were stranded on a desert island with only one book, which one would it be?

Life would be very boring with just one book to read, but I would probably choose this one as it is the most complex and labyrinthine mystery I have ever come across.
  3. Which book character do you wish was your best friend?
I really like Luna Lovegood, and can imagine getting along quite well with her. She would be a really cool best friend!
  4. Apart from reading/book blogging, what else do you enjoy doing?
Lots of things! I enjoy writing, travelling, visiting different places such as museums and galleries, learning new things, watching football, and listening to music.
  5. Which supporting character do you think deserves their own book and why?
One of my favourite recent reads was The Ten Thousand Doors of January, and the character Jane was very compelling. Her adventures sounded epic and it felt like we barely scratched the surface with her, so I would certainly read a sequel featuring Jane!
  6. Which book do you always find yourself recommending to people?
I loved this series and ever since finishing it I have recommended it to several people, often with good results 😉
  7. What genre are you the most drawn to?
That would have to be mysteries/thrillers. Although I am reading a wider variety of genres, whenever I visit a bookshop or library I always head for this section first!
  8. What is your favourite bookish app?
Goodreads. I don’t really use any other bookish apps.
  9. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Unkindness. I think being kind and helpful towards others is very important and I don’t appreciate it when I come across somebody who isn’t.
  10. Speaking of pets, do you have any?
Sadly not at the moment. But I would love to have a cat.
  11. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
Apart from being able to write freely about one of my favourite things, I would have to say the community. I have made and connected with so many wonderful bookish friends, who I am extremely grateful. They make blogging altogether more enjoyable and worthwhile.

My questions:

If it is alright, I shall use some of Shaz’s questions, and some of the others I have asked when I have previously done this tag.

  1. If you could choose one book to live in forever, which would it be?
  2. What genre are you the most drawn to?
  3. Are there any films that you thought were better than the book?
  4. Which supporting character do you think deserves their own book and why?
  5. How would you describe your blog in just one sentence?
  6. Of all the books you own, which one has the nicest cover?
  7. Which country or place would you most like to visit?
  8. Which book do you always find yourself recommending to people?
  9. What are your favourite type of blog posts to write?
  10. Share one of your favourite quotes of the book you are currently reading or have just finished reading.
  11. What is your favourite thing about the book blogging community?

I Tag:

I shall only nominate six bloggers for this. No pressure to do this tag!

Happy reading 🙂

  1. The community within blogging is definitely my favourite part as well. However, I must confess, I’ve never read the Harry Potter books. A lot of people have recommended Katherine Arden’s series to me and I think it’s a fitting book to read this time of year.

    1. Aww thank you for your kind words, Stephen! 😊 Loved seeing your answers! The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is on my TBR and it sounds very intriguing. Luna Lovegood would be a brilliant friend! And yes to the book blogging community!
