Weekend Book Haul

Hello everyone,

For the first time ever on my blog, I have a book haul to share with you!

Recently I have fallen into a wonderful though expensive habit of buying lots of books. I don’t think I have much space for them all, but they will fit somewhere.

Here are the first three books, which I bought last week.

What She Saw by Wendy Clarke

I had seen some very good reviews of this and was intrigued by the blurb, so when I saw it in a charity shop in good condition, I didn’t hesitate to get it.

Her Closest Friend by Karen Perry

This was another charity shop buy. It was already on my TBR and sounds very suspenseful, so I hope it lives up to my expectations!

Call Me Star Girl by Louise Beech

Louise Beech is one of my favourite authors. She writes beautifully and this latest book has received excellent reviews. I took advantage of an Amazon discount to buy this, but I want to read one or two more of her other books before I pick it up.

On Saturday it was Bookshop Day, so that felt like the perfect excuse to go out and buy more books. As well as a physical paperback copy of The Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden, I bought these two…

The Binding by Bridget Collins

Ever since this was released, I have been attracted to its cover, and I finally caved in and bought it! I am really into historical fiction at the moment, too, so it promises a lot.

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

Everything I hear about Madeline Miller’s books and her writing is overwhelmingly positive and I have made it a priority to read them soon. So I decided to buy this, and it is a much anticipated read.

Have you read any of these books? I would love to find out your thoughts on them. Let me know in the comments!
