Hello everyone,
I have created a book tag! This was an idea I actually came up with last year but I was not confident enough to post it. One of the shows I like watching is Strictly Come Dancing (Dancing With The Stars in the USA), and it got me thinking about how I could apply dance to books, so I came up with this. I hope you like it!
RULES:
- Display the logo and (in future posts) thank the person who tagged you;
- Answer the questions;
- Nominate five other bloggers!
QUESTIONS
Waltz – A Book With An Elegant And Graceful Writing Style
With a setting that runs right through the heart of the book, Once Upon A River has such a refined style that made the story so enriching. I loved it.
Cha Cha Cha – An Outstanding Trilogy
I always seem to include the Winternight Trilogy in tag posts, but it is probably my favourite trilogy. So beautifully written.
Quickstep – A Book That Has A Very Fast Pace From Beginning To End
All the way through, this book was a gripping thriller. Its fast pace added a lot to the tension and ensured I kept reading!
Paso Doble – A Book With Striking Cover Art
I have never read Romanov, but it was the first book that came to my mind for this question. Adorned with lyre-like feathers, it really stands out!
Viennese Waltz – A Book With Lots Of Twists and Turns
All of Cara Hunter’s crime books are full of twists that change your perspective on the case, and Close To Home introduced me to that skilful method of storytelling.
Tango – A Book With An Intensely Gripping Plot
This book was the very definition of intense! I was completely hooked and it did not take me long to finish.
Rumba – A Book That You Have A Strong Emotional Connection With
This book was so exceptionally powerful and raw and brilliantly written. It was heartbreaking but also contained moments of happiness amid the atrocity it depicts.
Samba – A Book That Made You Smile And Feel Cheerful
This probably may not be David Nicholls’ best book, but I found it hilarious. I enjoyed the story and it contained many laugh out loud moments, so I certainly felt cheerful while reading it!
Charleston – A Book Set In The 1920s
As the creator of this tag, I am going to allow myself this answer! This is just a screenplay, but Fantastic Beasts is set in the 1920s, so that counts, right?
I TAG
Holly
Darina (who likes to dance)
Rosie
Becky
Tiffany
No pressure to do this tag, but do link to this post so I can see your answers.
Also, if you can think of questions for the remaining dances listed below, even better!
Foxtrot
Jive
American Smooth
Salsa
Argentine Tango
Happy reading 🙂
Thanks for the tag! I love this idea and can’t wait to take part. 😊

Great book tag! Thanks for creating it 😊 I loved your answers and of course, Fantastic Beasts can count as a book 😉 I’m not even sure if I’ve read any other books set in the 1920’s so I probably would have done the same thing!

Thank you so much! I was the same, I couldn’t think of anything else for the 1920s. 😊
