Hiatus Announcement

Hello everyone,

This is a bit of a sad post to have to write. I love interacting with you all, reading your posts and sharing my thoughts on books, but I have reached a stage where I simply have to take a short break from blogging.

For a number of months now, I have posted regularly and become truly amazed and grateful at how many followers I have gained. However, recently it has become more difficult. I have started to run low of blog post ideas, and writing book reviews has been more stressful.

However, the main reason I am taking a break is that I need more time to focus on my life and my current WIP. Working full time and writing three blog posts for each week has given me relatively little time for other things, so I am hoping to create more of a balance.

I won’t be gone for long. I shall still interact on Twitter and maybe occasionally visit other blogs (it is hard to stay completely away!). So it is time for a hiatus, but I will be back!

Until then, happy reading πŸ™‚

  1. Hope to hear from you again soon Stephen. Blogging is a huge amount of pressure and I sometimes feel overwhelmed with trying to keep up with the blogging, books I want to read, Instagram, working full time and family! Take care x

  2. I’m sure many of us can relate. When it all becomes overwhelming, it’s good to take a step back. Enjoy your break and your other projects and hopefully we will see you back soon. Take care! x

  3. In my entire blogging life, I’ve been through countless hiatus and I agree that hiatus announcement posts are sad to write but hiatus does help. It’s great to take a break once in a while from blogging especially if it’s for our real craft. I just came back from a hiatus which I did for the same reason as yours. I had to focus on my WIP. I came to a point where blogging is taking most of my time because I couldn’t help but check for notifs and answer comments and new posts. But now I’m back and better than ever and I’m sure it will be the same for you.

We’ll be here when you come back. πŸ’•

  5. Oh no… 😒 this is sad and it must have been a difficult decision to make, but I totally understand. I have been Theresa well and you need to get your life back non track.

Let’s stay in touch on Twitter in the meantime, I’m waiting for your comeback! All the best, Stephen!!

  6. Take care, Stephen! Wanted to say thank you, as you were one of the first people who made me feel welcome in the blogging world, reading and commenting on my reviews when it was all very new to me and feeling a bit scared that I’d put myself out there!!!

  8. I can totally relate, and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in that. It is a lot, keeping up with reading, writing, blog hopping AND life 😊 Good luck with your WIP and enjoy your hiatus from blogging 😘

  9. Sad to hear but completely understandable – 3 posts a week is hard to keep up with! I used to also post 3 times a week, but have dialed back to once a week to focus more on work, school, and my personal life. I’ve learned after running other active games with weekly updates that hiatuses are necessary to recharge for sure. I hope that you have a good break and best of luck with the WIP!
