What a busy week! I can honestly say that I am very happy it’s Friday and that I can share my writing progress with you, among some of the other things that are happening in my life!
First of all, work has been exceptionally busy. I am a university administrator and term is now just a little over a week away, so that means there is a lot for me to do! We had an Open Day last Saturday that I helped out with, and I am also getting involved in some of the web and social media projects in my department. My brain needs rest!
However, I am happy to say that I have still managed to make good progress with my writing. My WIP is slowly getting closer to being finished – yay! I there will be lots of editing to do, but I am mostly happy with what I have written, and I am really looking forward to getting it all done.
Ever since I started writing it, the biggest issue I’ve had has always been how I should structure the book. For a non-fiction book, the structure is one of the biggest defining qualities and I am really anxious to get it right.
Elsewhere, I am soon to be given another magazine article to write, which will take priority for about a week or so. The latest issue arrived in the post the other day, and it is still a very rewarding feeling to see my work in print.
I also managed to write a new poem this week, all about my large TBR list. Here it is if you would like to have a read:
Speaking of reading, I am still rereading the Cormoran Strike books ahead of the release of Lethal White next week. I have finished the first two, so just one more to go and I am straight on to the new one, which I cannot wait for!
How has your week gone? How is your reading/writing progress? Do let me know in the comments!
Have a great weekend, and happy reading 🙂
